Our Story
For years, I struggled with the same problem so many of you know all too well — wigs and head coverings that simply wouldn’t stay in place.
My hair is naturally sleek and slippery, and no matter what I tried — bands, grips, pins, adhesives — I lived in constant worry that everything would slide back at the worst moment.
As a special educator by profession, I’ve spent my career solving problems in creative, out-of-the-box ways.
So when nothing in the wig world worked for me, I decided to turn that same creativity toward finding a solution — not just for myself, but for every woman who’s ever felt the anxiety of a slipping wig.
The first challenge I tackled was the wig grip itself.
Could it hold firmly without being harsh?
Could it stay secure and still remove gently?
We’ve all felt the sting of a grip pulling too hard — or worse, the humiliation of one that slides back when we need it most.
After countless prototypes, testing with friends, family, and within my community, I finally created something that worked.
Word spread quickly.
What began as a small experiment became something women were asking for again and again.
Out of that demand — and my 25 years of personal experience as a wig wearer and head-coverer — WIG GURU™ was born.
But my innovation didn't stop there.
Once I was deep in this journey of solving real problems, more ideas emerged.
I realized that even with a perfect grip, many women still struggled with that front hairline looking completely natural.
That's when I developed LaceStik™ - a water-soluble, portable adhesive pen that gives that final finishing touch.
It's discreet enough to carry for touch-ups, gentle enough to remove with just water, and precise enough to create that seamless, invisible front edge that makes all the difference.
But my mission didn’t stop at solving grip slippage.
As I continued listening to women in our community, I realized another frustration in our community has always been inconsistency— grips that vary in quality, styles scattered across brands, and no single place to find solutions we could trust.
I wanted to create the opposite: one home where every product is made with the same thoughtful design, consistent quality, and rooted in real feedback from real women.
